Lloyd Klein initially trained in architecture, ventured into the world of fashion after becoming mesmerized by a Givenchy haute couture runway show. He was appointed head designer for the legendary Maison Mme. Grès just after two seasons. Upon the successful completion of his contract with Grès, Klein launched his own signature label. His designs convey a bold androgynous balance of broad masculinity and an edgy femininity. He fancies mixing and matching a variety of textual and delicate fabrics. His designs have been described as “clean minimalist chic”. Currently, Klein and his business reside in sunny Los Angeles, California and is one of very few Couturier's in the US.
